Interactive Copywriter

We’re looking for a wordsmith to breathe life into big ideas with clever copy. If you’re passionate about turning words and phrases into impactful messages, translating tricky campaign concepts into clear & concise headlines, and combining brilliant copy with compelling creative to turn heads – this could be the gig for you.

Responsibilities include:

  • Writing copy – lots of copy! – for a wide variety of digital platforms and channels, including web, email, social, paid media (ads) and more
  • Development and execution of brand voice & strategy guidelines, including what we say, who we say it to and where/when we say it
  • Collaboration with digital designers to give and take detailed, actionable creative direction for both static and video assets
  • Work within Vert’s suite of social media tools and platforms to develop, draft and publish social content across channels
  • Strategic ideation, planning and execution of messaging strategies for multiple clients across dozens of platforms, and prioritize them all according to goals & scope
  • Communication with existing and prospective clients, as well as agency partners and vendors, regarding complex digital messaging strategies
  • Collaboration with Vert’s media, development, data marketing & account strategy teams to ensure that messaging, strategy, goals and creative are consistent across a brand’s entire digital presence
  • Commitment to learning: staying up-to-date on emerging digital trends and technologies via blogs, events and conferences

Additional qualifications and desired experience include:

  • 1-3 years of digital copywriting experience, preferably in a marketing/advertising agency where you’ve had to balance multiple projects, clients and deadlines
  • A creative approach to & detailed understanding of the modern digital communications landscape and where it is going
  • IMPECCABLE writing & grammatical skills with demonstrated ability to eloquently explain complex ideas in few written words
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a knack for creating excellent work in a fast-paced environment (often on tight deadlines)
  • Understanding of and appreciation for the data and analytics behind a digital strategy, with the ability to draw conclusions and provide recommendations for optimizations
  • Established interest in, use of, and passion for emerging social and digital media channels – it’s okay if it borders on obsession!
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Apps, Apple products (Macs), and various social brand management tools
  • Entrepreneurial, energetic, and enthusiastic (as well as other things that begin with the letter ‘E’)
  • A constant and insatiable desire to learn and grow in an ever-changing field
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field (or commensurate real world experience)

Compensation: Based on and commensurate with experience

Commitment: Full-Time Salary + Full Benefits out of our Atlanta office (Emory/Morningside area)
