Vert is looking for Data Visualization Specialists to help us scale & streamline our data & analytics practice. If you are experienced in one or more of these areas, this role could be a great fit for you: Python, SQL, Salesforce, Adobe Analytics/Launch, Google Data Studio/GA4. This is a contract/freelance opportunity, and we may have multiple openings depending upon candidates’ experience. 

Your goal in this role is to support Vert in shifting the status quo when it comes to how we collect, organize, analyze, and translate complex data to drive meaningful results and growth for the agency and our clients. We’ll trust your judgment in your area of expertise, and will rely on you to help us get the data and results we need using your specialized skill set. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Importing, cleaning, transforming, and visualizing data with the purpose of monitoring and optimizing business metrics
  • Performing marketing data analysis on campaigns and making recommendations for enhancing their effectiveness. Reading “between the lines” on what drives measurable business results.
  • Assisting client and team with complex tracking setups and integrations
  • Compiling comprehensive monthly, quarterly, annual, and project-based/ad-hoc analytics reports for clients
  • Integrating and automating recurring reports from various marketing and advertising platforms to provide a single view and deliver on target KPIs
  • Maintaining expertise on emerging analytics trends and technologies
  • Building strong & trusted relationships with the Vert team, and potentially clients and partners

Qualifications include:

  • Experience importing, cleaning, analyzing and translating actionable business insights through Python, SQL, Salesforce, Google Analytics,  Google Data Studio, or Adobe Analytics
  • Ability to confidently communicate correlations of sales data and ROI
  • Strong communication skills paired with a solid eye for key metrics and trends – you’ll need to both spot insights and present them effectively
  • Ability and willingness to collaborate with team members across agency disciplines (Account, Creative, Development, Strategy, Media, and New Business)
  • Meticulous organizational skills – you’re naturally motivated, self-directed and very deadline-driven
  • Experience with data modeling tools and can showcase examples of deriving insights from the data

This is an opportunity to be a “fractional” Vertbag who gets to be an integrated and important part of our growing data analytics practice – but maintains personal flexibility as an external freelancer. This role will be needed for a maximum of 20 hours per week on a semi-regular basis, and the opportunity to grow this into a full-time, salary + benefits role is high if that’s something that interests you. We’re looking for a partner who thinks long-term and is excited about steady & sustainable growth with a leading independent digital shop.
