It also relies heavily on a strong set of systems and processes to ensure we’re planning, activating, optimizing, and reporting on campaigns as effectively and efficiently as possible – and that’s where a Media Project Manager comes in!

A Media Project Manager works behind the scenes of campaigns, proactively fostering collaboration and innovation among key team members and stakeholders. This person must be highly organized, self-motivated, and able to both “see the forest through the trees” and appreciate each individual tree in that forest. That means thinking big picture while also accounting for the nitty-gritty details that are critical to the success of a campaign.

This person provides autonomous start-to-finish project management of digital marketing campaigns and projects, serving as a liaison between Vert’s functional teams, with a focus on media-centric deliverables and campaigns, with some overlap into other digital project areas impacted by these campaigns including email & landing pages. You’ll translate scopes of work, manage timelines, oversee QA and delivery. Your end goal: Ensure we’re consistently delivering best-in-class work on time and on a budget in a way that invigorates and fulfills our talented team (and you!).

Our ideal candidate for this role has experience planning, executing, and/or reporting on digital media campaigns, preferably in an agency setting – but they love and want to focus more on supporting the team that brings those campaigns to life in a project management position, and less on day-to-day campaign activation. 

This person will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring client deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to agency and clients’ quality standards
  • Directly supporting Vert’s functional teams in the planning and implementation of digital marketing and advertising initiatives, with an emphasis on media campaigns and projects
  • Providing proactive, strategic advocacy and guidance to clients and functional teams to facilitate consistently high-quality, efficient work by subject matter experts
  • Serving as point person for client communications and managing interactions between strategists, planners, creatives, analysts, and account managers, specifically on media-centric projects
  • Promoting ongoing cross-team collaboration by translating scopes of work, leading project kickoffs, scheduling project check-ins (on an as-needed basis), and bridging communication gaps across teams
  • Managing media strategy and activation processes for the consistent, efficient use of templates, frameworks and deliverables
  • Monitoring burn rate across clients/projects and working with Account Strategy Managers and client teams to recommend and implement adjustments as needed 
  • Providing support in the invoicing, hours tracking, and budgeting processes
  • Knowing the ins and outs of agency-client partnerships, including support in the creation, management, translation of, and adherence to Statements of Work (SOWs)
  • Maintaining and facilitating the agency QA process to ensure the ongoing production and delivery of high quality, accurate work 
  • Overseeing daily standups, project planning, demos, retrospectives, etc.

Qualifications include:

  • A background in account management, project management, and/or media strategy in an agency setting, with hands-on experience planning, executing, and/or managing media campaigns and projects
  • Experience creating, implementing, and overseeing collaborative systems and processes for work management
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills 
  • Management experience (people, process, and presentation skills)
  • A strong working knowledge of digital marketing and project management, with plenty of opinions on where the industry’s headed
